History of 3 Card Poker

The game of 3 Card Poker is said to have originated about three hundred years ago. Also known as Poker Three, this game has its origin in a fast-paced British game of three cards known as ‘Brag’, which is quite a popular game even today. The game is said to be called Primero then and it was a fast game moving betting game played with three cards.

It is believed the name ‘poker’ has originated from the German ‘pochen’ which means ‘brag’. The British game, Primero got the name of ‘Post-and-Pair’ and it then became Brag. When the game reached across the Atlantic, it was renamed Casino Brag or Brit-Brag but later came to be known as 3 Card Poker or Poker Three.

There are claims that Three Card Poker was invented in 1994, when it became extremely popular amongst the players. The game moves faster as the player plays against the dealer and there is no chance to bluff. It is believed that female players are partial to the game because the game moves fast and does not create much of stress.

The game of 3 Card Poker was appreciated much in 1999 because players got the opportunity to play online against the ‘house’ or the dealer without interference from other players. It became an all time favourite especially for those players who were not so comfortable joining a poker room to play this game.

Only one deck of cards is needed to play 3 Card Poker and the game starts with the ‘Pair Plus’ option. Players place their bets on the table after which they’re showed their cards. The player with a pair or better won the game. A second option, Ante-and-Play, was added to make the game more interesting. Under this option, the player had to place an ante bet before receiving his cards. He then has the option to fold and lose his bet, or raise by putting out another bet which has the same value as the ante bet. The player wins if the value of his hand is greater than the dealer’s.

Importance of Comp Points

Online casinos offer a variety of games and promotions so that their players remain happy and satisfied. The world of online gaming is highly competitive such that sites have to offer the best games and promotions to retain their customers. With great offers and promotions pouring in, the player gets to choose the best deals and play at casinos which come up with great offers.

One thing often disregarded by players is Comp Points. Most online casinos offer a loyalty program or a Comp Points system where all wagering at the casino earns players some points. These points when accumulated can sometimes be converted to cash, used to play games or in some cases used to buy stuff sold at the site.

Different casinos have different systems about Comp Points. Also, points earned vary according to the game on which funds have been spent. Bet 365 Casino offers a Comp Points system where players earn different number of points depending on the games on which they wager their money.

Players earn one point for every £10 spent on Craps, Blackjack, Pontoon, European Roulette, Casino Hold’em, Casino War, Baccarat and Video Poker at Bet 365. Similarly, players get two points for every £10 spent on Sic Bo, Pai Gow Poker, Poker Three, Red Dog and Let Them Ride. Players at Bet 365 can earn three points for every £10 spent on Video Slots, Progressive Jackpots, regular slots and Caribbean Poker.

Bet 365 players can accumulate points which can later be converted to real money with every 100 points giving them one currency unit in real money. Paddy Power Casino offers a loyalty points program where players earn points for every £10 bet they make on certain games.

Players at Paddy Power can earn two points for every £10 spent on slots and leisure games and one point for every £10 staked on table games and video poker. These points can be accumulated and converted to real money, to be added to a player’s play balance at any time.

Types of online casino games

Surprisingly, when some people think of online casinos, they still have a very outdated view of what they can offer; nowadays, online casinos provide a tremendous amount of a hugely varied gaming experience, with a massive variety of different games available…

There is a great variety of online casino slots, ranging from fantastic Marvel superhero series to popular films and televisions – there’s a slot to suit everybody. One of the main benefits from online slots are the extremely lucrative progressive jackpots that are available; some of have prize-pools of tens of thousands of dollars, making them a fantastic addition to online casinos.CasinoGame

Skill games are an immensely popular staple in every online casino; table skills games include blackjack, baccarat and roulette. Online Casino Bonuses

Most, if not all, online casinos offer some kind of bonus to their new customers. Although these bonuses are very valuable they do not necessarily do everything that they appear to say on the tin, and before you sign up at a casino it is advisable to take a very close look at what is on offer and what the bonus promotion really means.

The most common type of welcome bonus is one that is calculated as a percentage of your initial deposit. It might be worth anything between 50% and 200% of your first deposit up to a maximum amount of money, perhaps £200 or even £500 depending on the casino. Sometimes these bonuses came in the form of stage payments; for instance part of it is payable on your first deposit, part on your second, and part on your third.

Although it sounds great – an extra £200 or so paid into your account – it is not real money. Not only are you not able to withdraw in and convert it into cash, which you would not expect to be able to do, you need to play through it multiple times before you can make a withdrawal. For instance, the terms and conditions are likely to state that you must play through it 20 or so timers and that if you attempt to make a withdrawal before having done so, then the bonus will be forfeited. This means that if you received a £200 bonus, you would need to wager £4,000 before you could withdraw any of it.

Still, if you played games with a small house edge, for instance blackjack with an edge of around 1%, betting if you wagered £4,000 and used basic strategy, then you would expect on average to lose only £40, giving you a profit of £160.

Unfortunately, if you delve deeper into the terms and conditions, you will find that for low edge games that either don’t count or that they only count 10% or so to your wagering target.

Roulette’s growth and status

“Small wheel” is the French name in which roulette is in fact derived from and it is a form of gambling where the dealer must spin the wheel in one direction and the ball in the opposite direction; this takes place on the slanted spherical exterior circling around the edge of the roulette wheel.

Roulette was first introduced in France during the 1800′s and has since become an extremely popular casino game. It is believed that a roulette wheel is the product of a combination of the different wheel games available, such as the various English games including the Ace of Hearts, E.O and Roly-Poly and also the Italian game Biribi. The name “roulette” was in fact created from a French board game.

Roulette has certainly developed since first appearing in 1746, however the main rules and concepts of the game have not altered much at all over the years, ever since it became a regular past time in Paris. The roulette game was first mentioned in the Palais Royal of Paris, this was in fact the German casino in Homburg and in 1843 this is where Louis and Francois Blanc showcased the roulette wheel with a single zero. By doing this they were competing with various other casino establishments, where the wheels offered a single to double zero house advantage.

The original American Roulette wheels were designed with numbers featuring from one to twenty eight as well as single and double zero house advantages. In the 19th century Roulette continued to grow and in fact became popular in both Europe and USA.

When the Germans closed down all gambling establishments in the 1860′s, the French family Blanc continued running the only open and legal casino, which was the very famous Monte Carlo.
